Our Mission

Our mission is to engage in a comprehensive historic preservation program that promotes the use, conservation, preservation, and presentation of historic properties.

Our Goal is to implement projects and activities that help us achieve our planned goals.

The Guam Preservation Trust has approved grant funding for the Engineering Assessment of the Lujan House. When rehabilitated, the Lujan House, also known as the Guam Institute, will accommodate a museum on the second floor and office and meeting room on the first floor.

On August 11, 2005, the Guam Historic Preservation Review Board approved the listing of the Asan Patriots of World War II Memorial Monument on the Guam Register of Historic Places, and determined National Register of Historic Places eligibility for the Marine Drive Monument and the Asan Patriots of World War II Memorial Monument.

On August 14, 2006, the Maritime Archaeology Training is scheduled to begin. Training is limited to 15 participants. Participants must have diving experience and be certified. Participants will include Guam HP staff, staff from HP offices in Yap, Palau, and CNMI.
